The South Wagga Public School Drama Llamas are an extra-curricular group of budding actors, writers and directors (and the occasional drama-queen) that meets weekly to satisfy their dramatic urges. With little Landcare experience, but oodles of enthusiasm, nine Drama Llamas and their teacher and intrepid leader, Tim Harris, rushed at the opportunity to work on the Landcare Awesomeness Project. They met after school each Thursday for a whole school term to learn about Landcare farming and to develop the scripts for three films aimed at primary school students like themselves. The challenge: why does my hamburger taste SO good? That is, what is it that Landcare farmers do that produces high-quality, scrumcious ingredients for that home-cooked hamburger, whilst at the same time looking after the environment. They created the characters of David Attenbro, Charlie and Helen who travel to three farms in the Riverina to interview the farmers and investigate the Landcare way of producing the oil, eggs and beef for David's awesome hamburger.
